I've come across these 2 quotes over the last little while - and I have fallen in love with them. As things in my life continue to get busier and busier - and I feel more and more overwhelmed, I have enjoyed being able to pause, breathe, and read these words:
By Gordon B. Hinckley:
"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry." I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. Put your trust in God and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us if we put our trust in Him. If we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers.
By George Q. Cannon:
Do not allow darkness and gloom to enter into your hearts. I want to give you a rule by which you may know that the spirit which you have is the right spirit. The spirit of God produces cheerfulness, joy, light and good feelings. Whenever you feel gloomy and despondent and are downcast, unless it be for your sins, you may know it is not the spirit of God which you ahve. Fight against it and drive it out of your heart. The spirit of God is a spirit of hope; it is not a spirit of gloom.
Aren't those nice??
